Writing smart contracts using Solidity on BNBChain

Writing Smart Contracts Using Solidity on BNB Chain Solidity is the primary programming language for writing smart contracts on BNB Chain , offering developers a secure and efficient way to build decentralized applications ( dApps ). As an Ethereum Virtual Machine (EVM)-compatible blockchain, BNB Chain allows Solidity-based contracts to be deployed with minimal modifications, benefiting from low gas fees and high transaction speeds. To write a smart contract on BNB Chain, developers use Solidity within frameworks like Remix, Hardhat, or Truffle . A basic contract begins with defining a pragma version , followed by the contract logic, state variables, and functions. For example, a simple Solidity contract for storing and retrieving a value looks like this: // SPDX-License-Identifier: MIT pragma solidity ^0.8.0; contract SimpleStorage { uint256 private storedData; function set(uint256 _data) public { storedData = _data; } function get() public...

How BNBChain achieves low transaction fees

How BNB Chain Achieves Low Transaction Fees BNB Chain, the blockchain ecosystem powered by Binance, is known for its low transaction fees , making it a preferred choice for decentralized applications (dApps) and DeFi platforms. Several key factors contribute to its cost efficiency. 1. Proof-of-Staked-Authority (PoSA) Consensus BNB Chain utilizes a Proof-of-Staked-Authority (PoSA) consensus mechanism, which combines elements of Proof-of-Authority (PoA) and Delegated Proof-of-Stake (DPoS) . This allows for faster block production and reduced energy consumption compared to Proof-of-Work (PoW) networks like Bitcoin. The efficient consensus model significantly lowers computational costs , reducing fees. 2. High Throughput and Scalability BNB Chain can process thousands of transactions per second (TPS), reducing network congestion. Unlike Ethereum, which can experience high gas fees during peak demand, BNB Chain’s ability to handle more transactions simultaneously keeps fees low. 3. Fixed a...

CZ Says His Dog Is Called Broccoli – Next 100x Meme Coin?

Image
Binance co-founder Changpeng Zhao, or CZ, announced on X that his pet dog is called Broccoli and the meme coin Broccoli ($BROCCOLI) went live almost immediately. The launch of the viral CZ dog token Broccoli on BNB Chain follows Zhao’s sudden decision to get involved in the meme coin space despite previously voicing concerns over it. The token, launched just minutes ago, quickly surged to $0.0100397 and a market capitalization of a little over $2 million. The Broccoli dog token is available to buy semi-exclusively in Best Wallet, a top Web3 wallet with more than 500,000 users that is partnering with Broccoli Token. The BROCCOLI dog coin can also be bought via DEXTools. The contract address for the CZ coin is 0x93581EDa129D305C340f5a98033F642B2523a0b4 and its website is   broccolitoken.io . Broccoli's Story A year and a half ago, I casually chatted with a friend who owned a (real) zoo in Dubai. Curious, I asked what dog breed is adapted to the Dubai summer heat. I had no...

Multi-chain projects integrating with BNBChain

Multi-Chain Projects Integrating with BNB Chain As blockchain ecosystems evolve, multi-chain interoperability has become crucial for scalability and user adoption. BNB Chain (BNB) , known for its speed, low fees, and robust ecosystem, has emerged as a preferred platform for multi-chain projects seeking to expand their reach. Why Projects Integrate with BNB Chain? High Performance & Low Fees – With its high throughput and minimal transaction costs , BNB Chain offers an efficient environment for DeFi, gaming, and NFT projects. EVM Compatibility – Projects built on Ethereum or other EVM-based chains can easily migrate or deploy on BNB Chain using familiar tools and smart contracts. Cross-Chain Bridges – Solutions like Binance Bridge, LayerZero, and Wormhole allow seamless asset transfers between BNB Chain and networks like Ethereum, Solana, and Polygon. Strong Ecosystem & Liquidity – BNB Chain boasts a vibrant DeFi sector , with platforms like PancakeSwap, Venus, and Uniswa...

Gaming and NFTs on BNBChain

Gaming and NFTs on BNB Chain: A New Frontier The BNB Chain is emerging as a powerhouse for gaming and NFTs, combining fast transactions, low fees, and robust infrastructure to create an ideal ecosystem for blockchain-based gaming. With its scalable architecture, developers can build immersive play-to-earn (P2E) games that integrate non-fungible tokens (NFTs), revolutionizing in-game assets and economies. NFTs on the BNB Chain serve as unique, verifiable digital assets that players can own, trade, or use within games. These include rare characters, weapons, skins, and virtual land. Unlike traditional gaming assets confined to specific platforms, BNB Chain’s NFT assets are interoperable, giving players true ownership and the ability to monetize their achievements across multiple games. Popular gaming projects like Mobox and My DeFi Pet have leveraged BNB Chain’s capabilities to attract millions of users. The chain’s cross-chain compatibility with Ethereum and other blockchains...

Crypto Hackers and Rug Pullers Steal $71,021,500 in November With BNB Chain Emerging As the Top Target

New data from crypto security firm ImmuneFi reveals that hackers and fraudsters stole tens of millions of dollars with the blockchain of Binance being their top target. In a new thread on the social media platform X, ImmuneFi says that the crypto markets have seen an overall decrease in fraudulent activity compared to a year ago, suggesting that crypto is getting safer overall. “Is crypto getting safer? The ecosystem has lost $1.48 billion to hackers and rug pullers YTD (year-to-date) – a 15% decrease compared to $1.7 billion during the same period last year. The decrease is also noticeable on a month-over-month basis.” According to ImmuneFi, even though November saw over $71 million stolen by hackers and rug pullers, the number pales in comparison to the amount stolen last year. “In November 2024, we saw total losses of $71 million, the second-lowest monthly loss this year. Looking at the same period last year, over $343 million was lost....
